We strongly recommend that LipSense Lip Colour is only used with our LipSense Lip Gloss.
Without the gloss the lipcolour will not last as long and the lips will dry out.
The longer the time that you use our gloss the longer the time the colour lasts, as the lips get healthier for the colour to bind to.
Long lasting, stays on for up to 12 hours
Kiss-proof, smudge-proof, budge-proof
Amazing UVA & UVB sun protection

Lip Gloss – The Science Behind the Product
Shea butter, a natural ingredient is used as the key ingredient for the many textures of the Glosses. The moisturising properties are delivered to the delicate lip tissue while the beeswax seals the moisture in and helps to prevent moisture loss throughout the day.
Please note: Just like in wallpaper, tile and fabric, it is not unusual to have some variation in colour from one product run to another because the colour pigments we use are from natural sources. Our formulators try to match each run for consistency but there can be minute variations. Also media screen colours can only be a representation. Actual colour may vary due to factors such as skin pH.
Application & Ingredients
After applying LipSense® Liquid Lip Colour, apply any LipSense® Gloss. Moisturising gloss should be reapplied throughout the day at any time that the lips tend to feel dry. Reapply as needed. Reapplying the gloss will also increase the staying power of the lip color.
Apply to lips BEFORE BEDTIME TO PROTECT AND MOISTURISE WHILE SLEEPING.
- Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii) – The scientific name for Shea Butter, considered as a plant lipid. Lipids are the oil and fat components of skin that prevent moisture evaporation from the skin and provide lubrication to the skin’s surface. Lipids are considered a natural moisturiser.
- Tocopheryl (and Tocopheryl Acetate) – Vitamin E, essential for maintaining the activities of enzymes in the cells and for the formation of red blood cells. Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant and has been shown to inhibit skin cancer and aid in the healing of skin ailments. Vitamin E is a dynamic weapon against premature ageing and combating wrinkles by neutralising free radicals to stop the chain reaction of molecular damage and to protect the skin against oxidation. It’s also believed to protect skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays once absorbed into the skin.
- Propylparaben – Has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties that help to prevent mould in products. It is non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin.
- Beeswax – A highly refined thickening agent used for its emollient properties that creates a coating over the lips to help seal in moisture.
Notes on PARABENS from SeneGence in the USA and SheerSense in the UK.
Q) I see that some items contain parabens. What are they and what are they used for?
A) Parabens are a preservative. They are wax-free, animal-free parabens, and they are safe to use. We do not make items you must refrigerate after use so we’ve included the safest, most advanced, and versatile preservatives to ensure the actives are not contaminated. The use of natural extracts and actives in body lotions, washes etc. dictates the uses of preservatives to ensure the integrity of the product when stored.
Q) Are Parabens bad?
A) Parabens are anti-microbial. Although Parabens have been the subject of preoccupation in some circles, SeneGence does not have reason to be concerned about their inclusion in some SeneGence products. They are ingredients that are quite common. Consumers will find them on the ingredient lists of many other cosmetic products. Parabens are not on the USA’s Food and Drink Agency’s list of prohibited ingredients, and have not been flagged by the FDA for any safety issues. Please go to the USA FDA link below for more information, and let us know if you have further questions about this issue. https://www.fda.gov/Cosmetics/ResourcesForYou/Consumers/ucm397393.htm
Independently of the USA, in the UK SheerSense has been required to have products tested and the analysis lodged with the EU to comply with EU legislation.
EU legislation allows the use of parabens in cosmetics:
REGULATION (EC) No 1223/2009 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.
“This Regulation establishes rules to be complied with by any cosmetic product made available on the market, in order to ensure the functioning of the internal market and a high level of protection of human health.”
